So, it is less than a week before I take a trip to Stonewall, Manitoba to attend my youngest daughter's wedding. It has been a year in the planning and everyone is so excited! Me and little dog Edison will board the plane early in the morning on Wednesday! Edison is usually a good traveller, so I am expecting the same for this trip. Hopefully, he won't disappoint!
As the mother of the bride, there are a lot of expectations, and one of them is to look great! So, I have come up with a fail proof plan for everyone to think I look beautiful! For the past many months, I have been working on my "before" look! I have not cut my hair, I am wearing little to no make-up and not shaving anything. I look quite scraggy right now, with caterpillars for eyebrows and fur growing in unexpected places. It is possible I can grow a mustache if I want! I am sure that many of you will wonder why I would do such a thing, but here is my reasoning.....the after is going to be GREAT! When you think of it, no matter what happens, it will be an improvement! So, my before look is coming along famously. I will post a picture of the final look! Needless to say, I am going to look so much better on the day of the wedding!
My plan is to post something almost every day about my trip, and give this travel log to Jaime when all is said and done. I want her to see that in the end, after all of the stress and the planning and fights, that humour is what gets us through the day. No matter how stressful it is, there is still something that we can laugh about. And if we can't laugh at ourself, we can't laugh at anything!
So get ready, here comes the bride's mom!
